Top 20 LOUD Music of 2024 as chosen by Loudflash.com
1. Judas Priest – Invincible Shield – Are you kidding me? Rob Halford sounds like he is 25 and the rest of the band comes up with phenomenal music once again. No reason to retire this band just yet.
2. Blood incantation – Absolute Elsewhwere – This is extremely different death metal – full of psychedelic death metal, mixed with thrash and other genres. Blazing solos and deep vocals, definitely an album that you need to listen to if you haven’t already. There is no mistake that this is on everyones top of 2024.
3. Kittie – Fire – This album is solid all the way through. What a comeback from these Canadians.
4. Cancer Christ – Extreme Hardcore/Thrash/punk that reminds me of Dayglo Abortions, love it.
5. Fit for An Autopsy – The Nothing that is – This is a stellar deathcore album, definitely a level up from previous, if that was even possible.
6. Escuela Grind – Dreams of Algorithms – Love the rawness of this grindcore, ‘Turbulence’ is one you have to listen to.
7. Opeth – Last Will and Testament – Can they do no wrong? They re-introduced death metal vocals and its not far off from Ghost Reveries.
8. Peeling Flesh – G Code – You like Slam? The production on this is a virtual earthquake of yummy guitar riffs and vocals you cannot decipher. I think that is the code part, but appreciate the gangsta vibe with the integration of rap.
9. Kublai Khan TX – Exhibition of Prowess – This is not a ‘exhibition – it’s the real deal, game on!
10. Vulvodynia – Entabeni – OMG, if you thought guitar was simple in deathcore, you better give this a listen.
11. Knocked Loose – You Wont go before your Supposed To – Totally heavy hardcore metal, not everyone’s cup of tea but certainly can serve it to you hard and cold.
12. Body Count – Merciless – Ice T pulls the punches with this one, love listening to his stories.
13. Unleash the Archers – Phantoma – This album doesn’t stray far from their previous but that is no put down as they continue to overachieve each release.
